Critical
Meet is a Critical Contemporary Arts Festival happening
across Leicester, Derby and Nottingham on the
9th/17th/23rd of September. It's
aim is to broaden the reach of debates that exist around art,
and increase the opportunities for artists and non-artists to
experience contemporary art debate first hand.
At
each event will be a lecture and a panel discussion by leading,
emerging and established artists, and a Group Crit, which is for
artists, curators and writers to discuss art and ideas in a informal
situation. (places need to be booked in advance see - Group
Crit sign up tab at the top of the page).
The focus
of the three events is to specifically reflect the feel of
each city’s art scene, to bring artists and audiences together
from the three cities, and promote cross city collaboration.
